It is important for vapers to complete surveys because their responses provide critical data that can help shape public health policies, regulations, and the broader understanding of vaping. Surveys gather evidence on why people vape, how vaping helps smokers quit, and the challenges vapers face under current laws. This information is essential to counter misinformation, highlight vaping’s role in harm reduction, and demonstrate its effectiveness as a smoking cessation tool.
Survey data also serves as a powerful tool to inform policymakers and researchers, providing them with real-world evidence about vaping habits and outcomes. Without input from vapers, public health debates can be dominated by incomplete or biased data, leading to policies that fail to consider the needs of adult smokers. By participating in surveys, vapers ensure their voices and experiences are represented, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and better-informed public health strategies .
Petitions
It is important for vapers to sign petitions because petitions demonstrate collective support for changes in vaping laws and policies, sending a clear message to policymakers that a significant portion of the population is affected by these regulations. When vapers unite to advocate for sensible, evidence-based policies, petitions amplify their voices and highlight public demand for reform. This is particularly important in countries like Australia, where restrictive vaping laws may hinder adult smokers’ access to safer alternatives .
Petitions also serve as an official record of public opinion, which can be used to influence politicians, government agencies, and other stakeholders. They help emphasize that vaping is not just a personal issue but a broader public health and harm reduction matter. By showing solidarity, vapers can push for regulations that support adult smokers in switching to vaping while addressing youth access concerns. Without widespread participation, policymakers may overlook the needs and experiences of vapers when drafting legislation .
The Great To Be ALIVE Adult Vaping Survey
The purpose of this survey was to study how and why Australian ADULTS use vaping products.
The survey was done in conjunction with the A.L.I.V.E movement between 26 Novemeber & 26 December 2024 and the results will be used to ensure that stakeholders and policymakers have a clearer understanding of the current behaviour of adult vapers.
The results will be released as soon an possible.
